  • 1 ½ cups chicken broth
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (plus more for garnish)
  • ½ cup sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your slow cooker by lightly greasing it with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Place the chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, and dried parsley.
  4. Pour the mixture over the chicken breasts until they are fully coated.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
  6. Shred the chicken using two forks directly in the slow cooker and stir in sour cream if desired.
  7. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles and garnish with extra parsley.
