  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 11×7 baking pan with foil or cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt; whisk together until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, sugar, and dark brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Fold in chopped apples and cinnamon; gradually add dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. While cooling, melt butter in a saucepan and add brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and maple syrup; whisk in powdered sugar until smooth.
