  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup white apple vinegar
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper; coat in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter, mushrooms, and Italian seasoning; cook until mushrooms soften. Stir in minced garlic.
  4. Add white apple vinegar to deglaze the pan, cooking until reduced by half.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and return seared chicken to the skillet; simmer until cooked through and sauce thickens slightly.
