  • 2 bell peppers (diced)
  • Pinch red pepper flakes
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 1/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or full-fat coconut milk

  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and sauté sliced sausage with 2 teaspoons of Cajun seasoning until crispy. Transfer to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and cook diced onion and bell peppers with remaining Cajun seasoning until softened. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Whisk in chicken broth, heavy cream, and tomato paste; bring to a gentle boil, then simmer until thickened.
  5. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted, then mix in cooked pasta and sausage. Adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
