  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 ½ cups half-and-half
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add onions and celery; sauté until soft (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add diced potatoes, chicken broth, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender (about 15 minutes).
  3. Stir in corn and shrimp; cook until shrimp turn pink (about 5 minutes). Pour in half-and-half and stir gently.
  4. Remove bay leaf; adjust seasoning as needed. Serve hot garnished with fresh parsley.
