  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey/chicken)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
  • Heavy-duty aluminum foil (enough for 4 packets)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and shape into four equal patties.
  2. Tear off four large pieces of heavy-duty aluminum foil (about 12 inches each) and lightly coat the center with olive oil.
  3. Place a burger patty on each piece of foil, top with sliced mushrooms and Swiss cheese.
  4. Fold the foil over the burger to seal tightly.
  5. Grill over medium-high heat for 15-20 minutes or bake in an oven preheated to 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Check for doneness using a meat thermometer; it should reach at least 160°F (70°C).
