  • 500 g beef brisket, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 100 ml soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 100 ml beef broth
  • Spring onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, coat the beef strips with cornstarch.
  2. Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Sauté the beef until browned and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, stir-fry garlic and ginger for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and beef broth; simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the pan and combine well; let it simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve garnished with spring onions and sesame seeds alongside rice or noodles.
