  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (for crumb topping)
  • 1/4 tsp ground green cardamom (for crumb topping)

  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter (melted for crumb topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a muffin tin.
  2. In one bowl, mix together 3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp baking powder, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream together 1/2 cup unsalted butter and 1 cup white sugar, and 1/3 cup light brown sugar until smooth. Then add in 2 beaten eggs, 1/4 tsp vanilla extract, 1/2 cup buttermilk, and 1/2 cup sour cream.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Gently fold in 1 cup cranberry sauce to create swirls.
  6. Fill muffin cups two-thirds full and top with crumb mixture made from 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/3 cup light brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ground green cardamom, pinch of salt, and 1/3 cup melted unsalted butter.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
