  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and trim the carrots and green beans. Cut carrots into uniform pieces.
  2. Optional: Blanch green beans in boiling salted water for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté carrots for about 5-7 minutes until slightly softened.
  4. Add the green beans to the skillet along with honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 8-10 minutes until tender-crisp with thickened glaze.
  6. Adjust seasoning if needed before serving warm.
