  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 head broccoli florets
  • 13 ounces Turkey sausage, sliced
  • Cooked white rice, for serving
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes until smooth.
  2. Marinate shrimp in one-third of the sauce in a zip-top bag for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook broccoli for about 5 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and brown sliced Turkey sausage for 4 to 5 minutes.
  5. Add marinated shrimp (discard leftover marinade) and cook until pink and opaque (about 1–2 minutes per side).
  6. Pour in reserved sauce; let simmer for 3–5 minutes. Add broccoli back into the skillet and toss until well coated.
  7. Serve over cooked white rice garnished with chopped parsley.
