  • 3 large eggs (room temperature and whisked)
  • 1 cup finely ground almond flour
  • ⅓ cup sliced almonds
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ⅓ cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Grease an 8” cake pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream the unsalted butter and granulated sugar using a stand mixer or hand mixer until light and fluffy.
  4. Gradually add vanilla paste, almond extract, and whisked eggs into the butter mixture.
  5. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in finely ground almond flour until fully mixed.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan, topping with sliced almonds.
  8. Bake for 28-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean with moist crumbs.
  9. While baking, prepare honey simple syrup by heating honey and water until mixed; pour over warm cake after cooling for about 20 minutes.
