  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Soak dates in hot water.
  2. Sift together cake flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg in a large bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together vegetable oil, brown sugar, honey, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry mixtures until just mixed; fold in chopped dates and walnuts.
