  • ½ cup white apple vinegar + ½ cup water or 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 tbsp diced sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp chicken bouillon (if using apple vinegar)
  • 1 cup sour cream or heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch diluted in 2 tbsp cold water (optional)
  • 23 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp flat leaf parsley (or fresh basil, chopped)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. In a skillet or directly in the slow cooker, heat butter and olive oil. Brown the chicken on both sides until golden.
  3. Pour in the vinegar mixed with water or chicken broth and add sun-dried tomatoes, garlic granules, and paprika.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 90 minutes to 2 hours until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. Stir in sour cream and grated Parmesan before serving.
