  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Blue gel food coloring
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 23 tablespoons milk (adjust for consistency)
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate cookies
  • Extra mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk and yeast in a mixing bowl; let sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Stir in granulated sugar, egg, egg yolk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
  3. Add 2 cups of flour and salt; mix until combined. Gradually add remaining flour until soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
  5. Add blue gel food coloring; continue kneading until evenly colored.
  6. Transfer the dough to a greased bowl; cover it with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel.
  7. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 to 1½ hours or until doubled in size.
  8. In another bowl, mix softened butter with brown sugar and cinnamon until well combined.
  9. Stir in crushed chocolate cookies and mini chocolate chips.
  10. Roll out the dough into a rectangle measuring approximately 14×9 inches.
  11. Spread the filling evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  12. Roll tightly from one long edge to form a log shape; cut into 12 even rolls.
  13. Place rolls in a greased baking dish; cover and let rise for another 30–45 minutes.
  14. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for about 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
  15. Beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth in texture.
  16. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and enough milk to achieve desired consistency.
  17. Drizzle cream cheese icing over warm rolls once out of the oven.
  18. Top with crushed cookies and extra mini chocolate chips if desired.
