  • 1 small head of cabbage
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon plant-based oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 2 tablespoons water (optional, for sauce)

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice the chicken breasts and chop the cabbage. Mince garlic, slice onion, julienne carrot, and slice bell pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, plant-based oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch (optional), and water (optional) until smooth.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and stir-fry until nearly cooked (4-5 minutes).
  4. Add garlic and onion; stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes.
  5. Toss in carrot, bell pepper, and cabbage; stir-fry until vegetables are tender-crisp (4-5 minutes).
  6. Pour sauce over everything; stir to coat evenly.
  7. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and chicken is fully cooked.
  8. Season to taste with salt and black pepper before serving hot.
