  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 10 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded Velveeta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and half of the butter over medium-high heat. Season chicken pieces with Cajun seasoning, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Sauté until golden brown on both sides and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add remaining butter along with minced garlic. Cook until fragrant.
  4. Add heavy cream and stir until simmering. Gradually incorporate Velveeta and mozzarella cheeses until melted and smooth; adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  5. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce along with the chicken; simmer gently until heated through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
