  • 1.5 pounds Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, chopped
  • 1 Yellow Onion, chopped
  • 1 ounce Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 2 ½ cups Biscuit Mix
  • 1 cup Water
  • ½ cup Sour Cream
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 4 ounces Diced Green Chiles
  • 1 ½ cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Salsa

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onions and bell pepper; sauté for about 4 minutes. Stir in taco seasoning.
  4. In a bowl, mix biscuit mix with water; press into a greased casserole dish and bake for 5-8 minutes until set.
  5. Layer cooked beef mixture over the biscuit base.
  6. In another bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, green chiles, shredded cheese (reserve some), and garlic powder; spread over beef layer.
  7. Top with salsa and remaining cheese.
  8. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes until bubbly.
