  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp white sugar
  • 3 1/2 c all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 c white sugar
  • 4 tbsp softened butter
  • 8 tbsp butter
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 c heavy cream
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 c chopped pecans
  • 4 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 c white sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar; let it froth for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, salt, and sugar in a stand mixer; add yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
  3. Allow dough to rise until doubled in size (about 30 minutes).
  4. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread melted butter and sprinkle with sugars and cinnamon.
  5. Roll tightly, slice into pieces, and place in a greased baking pan topped with caramel sauce and pecans.
  6. Let rise again before baking at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
