  • 1 teaspoon loose black tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)
  • 1012 mint leaves (plus extra for garnish)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup apple juice (or apple-flavored soda)
  • 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, tea leaves, mint leaves, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for one minute.
  2. Remove from heat and strain the tea into a measuring cup or pitcher. Allow it to cool for about 10 minutes.
  3. Fill two tall glasses with ice and add 4-5 mint leaves to each glass.
  4. Pour ½ cup of apple juice into each glass followed by ½ cup of brewed tea.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon of lime juice to each glass and stir gently. Garnish with apple slices and lemon wedges.
